01 Oct Questions Are The Answer
Looking to grow your business and your wealth? Dealing with a challenge and looking for the answer? Better answers appear when you ask better questions. Here are some that I ask myself.
- What is the area that, if you made an improvement, would give you and others the greatest return on time, energy, and dollars invested?
- What is holding you back from absolutely crushing it in your business?
- What is currently impossible to do, that if it were possible, would change everything?
- What are you trying to make happen in the next three months?
- What is the most important decision you are facing? What is keeping you from making it?
- What business are you really in? Why are you in that business? What is the gap between where you are where you want to be? What do you need? What’s next?
- What area under your responsibility are you most satisfied with? Least satisfied with?
- What responsibilities are you avoiding right now?
- If you were hired as a consultant and told to evaluate the business you’re in, what would you recommend?
- What conversations are you avoiding right now?
- What do you wish you had more time to do? Why?
- What things are you doing that you would like to stop doing or delegate to someone else?
- If you were competing against your current business, what would you do to win?
- What threatens your peace? What threatens your business/investments? Your health? Your personal fulfillment?
- If you don’t change anything, what are the implications? If you change nothing, where are you in 1 year? 5 years? 20 years? 50 years?
- How have you helped create the problems you’re facing?
- What is the most potent action you can take today to face your challenge? What are you committed to doing?
- What is the core story behind your business that customers should know?
- What values do you stand for? Are there gaps between your values and how you actually behave?
- What do you believe to be true about your industry that is really just an opinion?
- What are the flaws in your current operating procedures?
- If you went away for 3 months, either due to severe illness or a long vacation, what would your business be like when you return?
- What could you do to help your customers/clients be more successful?
- What are you doing that you should do less of? What are you not doing that you should be doing?
- What is one bad habit that is eroding your time and wealth?
- What is a fear that prevents you from taking action?
